Static Materials Testing @ MCL

Whether at room temperature or in high-temperature applications, we deliver reliable material data for development, quality assurance, and component design.

Why it matters:
Mechanical properties can change significantly depending on temperature, environment, and loading conditions. Only standardized testing under realistic conditions provides reliable data for safe and efficient applications.

Our services:

  • Tensile testing according to EN, ISO, and ASTM (e.g., EN ISO 6892-1/-2/-3, ASTM E8/E21)
  • Compression testing according to ASTM E9 and DIN 50106
  • 3-point and 4-point bending tests
  • Testing from -150 °C to 1400 °C
  • Testing in air, inert gas, or vacuum
  • Local strain analysis using Aramis
  • Flexible specimen geometries: from standard samples to real components

Technical highlights:

  • Wide temperature range: -150 °C to 1400 °C
  • Standards-compliant testing under extreme conditions
  • High-resolution analysis of local strain and material behavior
  • Testing of real components such as bolts, pins, and bearing parts

Typical applications:
– Verification of material certificates through tensile and bending tests
– Qualification of critical components such as shafts, flanges, or axles
– High-temperature tensile testing of turbine materials up to 1200 °C
– Testing of additively manufactured materials (e.g., Inconel, titanium, stainless steel) for process validation
